| North West of England Objective 2 Programme 2000 - 2006 Application Pack | |
| The
North West Objective 2 Programme was launched by the Programme Monitoring/Regional
Committee (PM/RC) on 30 March 2001. Bids are now invited for Action Plan Partnerships and, exceptionally, for individual projects where these do not fit logically within a local or thematic Action Plan or are regional in scope. Individual projects are particularly invited under Measure 3.3 for revenue activity which embed the benefits of strategic capital investment under predecessor programmes. Expressions of Interest and fully worked up Action Plan applications, if available, are invited for Priority 3 Economic Development Zones (EDZs). The deadline for Expressions of Interest for EDZs is 4 May 2001. All other bids should be submitted by 2 July 2001. There will be a rolling cycle of Committee meetings (3 in a year) to consider bids for Action Plans and projects. The next meeting of the PM/RC will be on 27 September. Those bids received in the Government Office by 2 July, at the latest, will be considered by the September meeting. We are expecting a large number of bids in a short space of time in this first round and it would be helpful if bids were submitted when ready rather than at the deadline date. Any bids which miss the September meeting will be considered in the next cycle of meetings in January/February 2002. An application pack has been put together so that all potential applicants know what to do and what to include in their bids. The pack is only intended for ERDF there is no ESF available in the Objective 2 Programme but complementary arrangements for ESF are available under Objective 3. The general guidance note in the pack covers the procedures for bidding and points to relevant documents. The Application Pack is intended to be accessed electronically and all applications (action plan and individual project) should be submitted on interactive electronic forms. The interactive forms are still being developed and temporary forms will be available on this site in the meantime. Hard copies of all the documents, including the application forms, can be downloaded from this site or, if there are any difficulties, can be obtained from the contacts listed at the end of the general guidance note in the Application Pack. When completed, application forms should be emailed to the Priority contacts named in the Application Pack General Guidance Notes. A signed hard copy of the completed application should also be sent to the Priority contacts in the NW European Programme Secretariat at Washington House, New Bailey Street, Manchester, M3 5ER. Please do not hesitate to contact the Secretariat in Manchester if you have any queries about the application procedure. The contents of the application pack are listed below. |
